"A man will be as a hiding place from the wind, And a cover from the tempest, As rivers of water in a dry place. As the shadow of a great rock in a weary land." (Isaiah 32:2)
The nation of Israel was wandering in the desert. They didn't have water to drink and they complained to Moses that they were going to die of thirst. However, God anticipated their need and provided: "Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." (Exodus 17:6)
"They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun and scorching desert winds will not reach them anymore. For the LORD in his mercy will lead them beside cool waters." (Isaiah 49:10)
"Oh God, you are my God, I earnestly seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water." (Psalms 63:1)
"Jesus stood and cried out, saying 'If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.'" (John 7:37-38)
February 1, 2008 I will be having surgery on Monday. We talked to the staff today and still don’t know about ins. but thanks to God and many prayers, the doc is doing it regardless. He said this is too imporntant to wait. Continue to pray for me, this is not an easy one and it is a long recovery, with kids any thing is.lol We will see ya’ll on Sunday, all our love D&d

January 31, 2008 My father is coming along nicely. It has been hard on both mom and dad as it has been cold and snowy. Finally this week, they went out to eat together; 1st time since dad’s surgery. Continue to pray for complete healing and strength. Thank you again for your prayers. Sue

December 9, 2007 Jan 12th is to be the class Sunday School Christmas Party. 6:30pm to ????. We will supply BBQ meat and wonder if the class would mind bringing side dishes. We will also bake a plain chicken for those who are not into BBQ. We will supply drinks and tableware etc. We are hoping and (PRAYING) that everyone can make it. I had to put praying in there for David.
